Allyson & Jay started from very different places in their fitness journeys, but they both discovered very realistic, enjoyable, and most importantly, sustainable fitness paths.
I am not a fitness expert, however I am a fitness junkie. I can’t get enough of it. After entering and completing my first Physique Competition, I realized there had to be a better way. I had been training poorly and improperly for years, from not knowing any better. To educate myself, I began to read about fitness, discuss with experts in the industry, learn more about it, and dream about health and fitness. It became my passion. I really love this stuff. When I was 18, I became a firefighter & a paramedic to help people, to make lives better. I quickly realized that I was often trying to help people that didn’t want to help themselves. Through fitness, I am able to help more people than ever before. More importantly, I am able to help people that want help, but just don’t know where to start.
Having had issues with weight my entire life, I started on my fitness journey when I was a sophomore in high school. I fully committed when I was a freshman in college, and I continued to do pretty well after college.
I cannot remember exactly when I started falling off track. I was on and off for about a year or two. However, in 2012, I hit bottom. I was getting ready for work one day and I could not button my pants. I had to be honest with myself at that point. I needed to lose weight…again. This time for good. I lost over 30 pounds and have kept it off for almost three years now. The success I have had led me to want to help others do the same. I am now an ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor and Online Health/Fitness Coach. I am here to help. Fitness is a journey, not a destination. I am excited to join you on your journey!
